Artist's Profile

Takashi Sonoda

Born in Kumamoto in 1989. After completing the Ph.D. course at the City University of Hiroshima, Sonoda currently belongs to the Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences graduate school. Based in Germany and Japan, Sonoda creates sculptures, videos performances, and installation works. Using a method of “self-transformation,” the artist approaches the forms behind natural phenomena and their transformability.
