Re-production of "Dai2 Misawa Corp" inside the gallery

The illustration is painted on the exterior wall of the actual Misawa Corp, the artist of the work will paint again on the wall inside the gallery.

Artist Profile

Irie Saya (matamata)
Born in 1983 in Okayama. After completing a master's degree at Hiroshima City University, Irie made her art while based in the city. Using an eraser to rub out existing images from prints and paintings, Irie collects the eraser shavings and reproduces the original image in three dimentions. Irie adds depth to her work by dealing with a variety of cultural and social contexts.
The design unit matata was formed by Irie Saya and Shikada Yoshihiko.
