Sand Casting Workshop (reference)

Program related to the Collection Exhibition 2024-Ⅱ "Highlights+Relations [Guest Artist: Nakanishi Sawa]. " The guest artist for this exhibition, Nakanishi Sawa, will hold a hands-on casting workshop. The motifs and production process of bronze castings by Nakanishi are deeply connected to everyday life and personal memories.
In this workshop, participants will work with Nakanishi to create a small metal casting. Participants will combine daily objects, memorable objects, and objects found at the museum on the day of the workshop, and press them into sand to make original molds. The heated and melted metal is poured into the mold to complete the process. At the end of the workshop, there will be a viewing time for everyone to introduce the works they have created.
