Museum Internship
Application Guideline
Eligibility | - Applicant must be in the junior of the university or older and have interest in the museum activities, and majored aesthetics, art history, art education, architecture, and/or design. - Applicant must serve as an intern on a regular basis throughout the internship period. |

Internship Work | Assist in the preparation and implementation of exhibitions (creating catalogue, working on installation, conducting related events, etc.) and organize materials related to works in the collection. Assist in the preparation and implementation of communication programs (workshops, appreciation programs, etc.). Assist in public relations (posting on SNS, organizing exhibition publicity materials and catalogs, shipping operations, etc.). |

Eligibility | Applicant must be a university student (senior or graduate level), registering for museum-related subjects listed in the Museum Act, and hold interest in museology and curatorial work. |

How to Apply | Each applicant is required to prepare the following material (1) and (2), and the university should send the materials by all the applicant by mail. (1) Rirekisho (CV with a portrait photo) *If you wish your CV to be returned, please let us know. (2) Essay (“Your purpose of obtaining the Curator Qualifications and why you chose Hiroshima Museum of Contemporary Art for your curatorial training,” Maximum 1 page in A1-size paper (more than 1200 words)) *No plagiarism allowed (3) Return Envelope (Kaku2 size envelope with sufficient amount of stamp) *1 envelop per university |

Acceptance Period | May 22 (Fri)–June 20 (Fri), 2024 *Application must arrive by June 20th. |

Announcement | The result will be notified to the university in early July, 2024. If the number of application exceeds our capacity, we’ll select the candidate according to the content of application material. Once accepted, the applicant must prepare the request letter (in their university’s format) from the university director to the museum director. |
